Syby Abraham

Founder & Lead Creative Technologist

Matterforge Inc.

In the Summer of 2023, among the hum of printers churning out junk mail, I found an unexpected spark of inspiration. After years of feeling creatively stifled, printing endless reams of disposable advertisements, a realization struck: true passion and meaningful creation were calling.

Sometimes you find clarity in the most unlikely places. For me, it was amidst the monotony of junk mail machines that I realized my true passion had no part in my day-to-day job.

My journey wasn't linear. By day, pixels were crafted and clay molded; by night, circuit boards and code came alive. From tuning car engines to composing melodies, I allowed my spectrum of creativity to exist without needing to be defined. It was a life at the crossroads of disciplines, yearning for intersection.

The vision for Matterforge emerged from this vibrant tapestry of experiences. I imagined a space where the potter's wheel spins next to 3D printers, where paintbrushes and microprocessors are tools of the same trade. A nexus for creators of every stripe to empower one another.

Today, Matterforge stands as that vision realized. We've created more than a business; we've built a playground for innovation, a canvas woven from the threads of diverse disciplines. Here, the boundaries between art and science crumble, making way for unimagined innovations that enrich us all.

Don't just take our word for it

"Matterforge made a custom plaster mold for slip casting and used the most amazing technology I’ve ever seen to make that happen. This will change my pottery game forever."

"When I shared my ideas with Syby, I appreciated his skills and efficiency but also his creativity and encouragement to think out of the box. I not only got two replicas made but also a food-safe mold to make additional replicas myself. Thanks, Syby!"
